Design Consultation

Sample Boards
We create hand-troweled sample boards showing the exact color, movement, and sheen so you can approve the finish in your own light before we begin. Plaster is an investment and you should see it first.
Surface Preparation
We ensure the wall is smooth, sound, and properly primed. Plaster demands a flawless, well-adhered base — any weakness beneath telegraphs through the finished surface.
Base Coat & Priming
We apply a plaster-specific primer, often with fine aggregate, to give the plaster something to grip. This base ensures the trowel coats bond and build correctly.
Trowel Coats
We apply multiple thin coats of plaster by hand with a steel trowel, building the characteristic depth and movement. Each coat is applied and knocked down with skill developed over years of practice.
Burnishing & Sheen Development

Sealing & Final Review
We seal the plaster where needed — with wax or a penetrating sealer for waterproof applications — then review the finished work with you in natural and evening light.
